JORDAN HENDERSON has been told whether he has an England future at Euro 2024 by Gareth Southgate.
The midfielder’s international career appeared to be up in the air as he prepares to join Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia.
Henderson is on the verge of completing a move to the Middle East after agreeing a three-year deal worth a reported £700,000-a-week.
According to the Daily Mail, Henderson has held talks with the Three Lions boss over his place in the squad.
The report adds that the 33-year-old has been told his move to Saudi Arabia will not affect his England future.
Southgate is said to be keen for Henderson to play regularly this season ahead of the tournament.
Opportunities had not been guaranteed for Henderson at Anfield despite several midfield departures.
His move is set to officially confirmed soon, with Henderson already training with his new team-mates at their pre-season camp in Croatia.
