Watford have sacked Vladimir Ivic after just four months in charge of the Championship club.
Ivic was only appointed in August following their relegation to the second tier of English football.
The club are fifth in the league and just four points an automatic play-off place but the club have taken the decision to search for a new manager.
Ivic was even named as the Championship’s manager of the month in November.
A club statement read: “Watford FC confirms the departure of Head Coach Vladimir Ivić with immediate effect. Ivic’s coaching staff will also be leaving Vicarage Road.
“The Hornets thank Ivić and his staff for their efforts this season and wish them well for future success elsewhere.
No further comment is available from the club.”
The decision was made following the 2-0 defeat at Huddersfield on Saturday but was just their fourth loss of the season.
It continues the manager merry-go-round at Watford and will be their fifth new manager in less than 18 months.
Last season saw Javi Gracia, Quique Sanchez Flores and Nigel Pearson in charge before all were sacked mid-season.
