Chelsea news LIVE: Latest transfer, takeover and Roman Abramovich updates

Good morning, Chelsea fans

Juventus are lining up a summer swoop for Antonio Rudiger, according to reports.

The German has been heavily touted to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, when his current contract expires.

Rudiger has been linked with the likes of Man United and Barcelona – but Juve reportedly fancy their chances of landing his signature.

According to 7Gold Sport, veteran Giorgio Chiellini has agreed to terminate his contract after 18 years this summer in order to clear room for Rudiger.

The 37-year-old has played more than 400 times for the Old Lady.

A potential Rudiger replacement, Ronald Araujo, admitted that he’d like to stay at Barca.

Asked about a potential new deal, the Uruguayan defender said: “We are working. This week we have a meeting.

“I hope it will be resolved soon so that I can continue many years at this club. I am optimistic.”

Meanwhile, John Terry has rubbished suggestions of “player power” during his stint with the club.

He told Stadium Astro, he said: “No, definitely completely untrue in terms of the players being in charge and making decisions.

“The reasons that we had such success in Chelsea at my time, we always had one man in charge and that was the manager. We had such a strong group of players to help that process.”
