Toney talks England or Jamaica, Drinkwater on Chelsea ‘shambles’, Elliott update

Well, what a weekend that was in the Premier League… again!

There are now THREE giants tied at the top of the table after wins for Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United. It’s still early days, but it’s already looking like it could be one of the tightest title races in years.

Brighton are up there in fourth place after continuing their brilliant start to the season against Leicester, with praise for Graham Potter for his work on the south coast. They’re two points above Man City.

Meanwhile, there was sad news on Sunday as Tottenham announced the passing of English football legend and World Cup winner Jimmy Greaves.

Tributes have been pouring in for the former striker, and we’ll keep you posted with all the latest reaction to the passing of another of England’s 1966 icons, and a player hailed as the best goal scorer in history.

We’ll keep you up to date with all the fallout from the weekend’s results, too, with another day to forget for Spurs and Harry Kane, while Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been hailed the Premier League’s best manager.

And there was also more disappointment for Lionel Messi, who was subbed off on his home debut for Paris Saint-Germain, while we’ll be building up to some of Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clashes.
